Benoit Blanc has spoken!
The popularity for the Knives Out franchise is superb and Daniel Craig hopes that Netflix would release the third installment — Knives Out 3: A Knives Out Mystery — in theatres for more than a week.
The actor explained that the film deserves a wider theatrical release,
“The people I speak to — the fans, I suppose — all they want to do is take their families and go see it at the cinemas. That’s all they want to do. Hopefully, we can give them that experience.”
When the first film was released theatrically in 2019, Netflix bought the exclusive rights to the two sequels and offered a one-week theatrical run for Glass Onion in 2022.
The franchise follows suave private detective Benoit Blanc, played by Craig, as he investigates murder mysteries. The latest installment will also feature an ensemble cast that includes Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Cailee Spaeny, Daryl McCormack, and Thomas Haden Church.
