
Fans of Netflix’s interconnected Marvel Universe may want to keep their expectations in check when Daredevil Season 3 debuts. Showrunner Erik Oleson has confirmed that there won’t be any any crossovers with other Netflix Marvel shows this time around.
We learned this during IGN’s recent visit to the Daredevil set. Oleson revealed that he specifically wanted a more self-contained approach to Season 3, stressing the need to focus on Daredevil’s core cast of characters rather than other Marvel mainstays like Jessica Jones or Frank Castle.
“I wanted it to be standalone, I did not do crossovers this season,” Oleson said. “I wanted to really get back to these core characters, and use the real estate to focus on who they are and really flesh them out before I introduced external and other kind of elements of the MCU, at least all the Netflix Marvel stuff.
