Drew Barrymore has revealed details of an ongoing injury she suffered on the set of a two-decade old film.
The movie Fever Pitch, also known as The Perfect Catch, is a rom-com in which Barrymore’s character falls in love with Ben, a character played by Jimmy Fallon. The film, based on Nick Hornby’s 1992 novel, is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and Barrymore revealed that she is still suffering from a back injury that she got while filming one of the scenes.
“There’s a scene where I go on the Green Monster, the wall, and I fall.
When I did that, I fell really badly on my back. And so you’ll see me fall and I start wincing and screaming – that was all real. And then I had to keep running anyway, and I still have a bad back. I’m like, ‘Did it happen on Fever Pitch?’”
Barrymore since pursued a career outside of acting in recent years, and is currently hosting her own daytime talk-show, The Drew Barrymore Show.
