On December 19, Elon Musk posted a poll on his Twitter account asking the public “Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll.”
After the poll closed, the results showed that 57.5% of those who voted, around 10 million people, said he should step down.

Today, Musk finally replied to his own Tweet.
“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams,” wrote Musk.
While Musk is usually a prolific user of the platform, Musk did not tweet immediately after the poll closed. Musk finally broke his silence when he responded to tweets that suggested that the results of the poll were skewed by fake accounts.
