“Don’t think, just do.”
Top Gun: Maverick. A film that might be one of the loudest, and best blockbusters to be witnessing in current times.
You don’t even have to switch your brain on for this one. Just sit back and enjoy the show.
The film is a sequel to its original in 1986, but that fact matters very little for this movie. So even if you didn’t catch that one, it doesn’t take much to understand what’s going on here.

Tom Cruise stars as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, a Navy test pilot who is in his late 50s, instructed to train the brightest and best aviators in TOPGUN for a mission that not only is impossibly dangerous to accomplish, but also who is worthy of flying in it.

All of the pilots have their characters. Some of them pleasing to watch, while others make you want to throw a punch. But that’s what makes it entertaining.
What makes the film immersive (especially in IMAX) is the fact that there are plenty of fighter jet cockpit shots throughout the film. Watching these scenes on the big screen is, quite the experience.

Throughout the film, there are quite a number of flashbacks to the previous, but they’re not difficult to understand if you missed out.
Something to love and appreciate about this film is how incredibly brave and determined Tom Cruise is. This man, again and again shows that he isn’t afraid to die. He consistently pushes his team and their technology to the limit (and beyond). He reminds his young “students” that the enemy also knows everything in the book. What they don’t know? Your limits.
Safe to say, it’s definitely a film worth watching. Even more than once.
