
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has brushed off a former Thai army general’s criticism of his role in the Thailand-Cambodia peace deal, describing the man as an “election loser”.
Anwar said it would be “unintelligent” to heed the comments of the former army officer.
“He comes from a Thai party that, just like Pejuang in our country, has never won a single election,” he said at an event in Cherok Tok Kun here today.
“Not only has he never won any seat, but he has also forfeited his election deposit – just like Pejuang here.”
