The accident was witnessed by Shukri Hassan, who posted on his Facebook profile to warn other cyclists.
The 43-year-old witness said that he was driving behind the slow-moving lorry at the time of the accident.
“Suddenly the lorry skidded and went over the road divider, and I saw something fell and I honked at the lorry driver repeatedly to make sure that he stopped,” he wrote.
