Watch: PDRM Challenged By Extreme Weather Conditions During Roadblock

Salute!

As we all know, starting today (10th May 2021), Malaysians nationwide are not allowed to cross district or state borders, with the Movement Control Order (MCO) restrictions in place.

With that being said, authorities are on duty to carry out roadblocks in certain areas to ensure Malaysians do not disobey the order, unless for an emergency. However, not all has gone according to plan for the police. Twitter user @magmalaya shared a video showing police officials braving through extreme weather conditions on-site.

He expressed his appreciation to the officials captioning the video “Jaga diri (take care). Thanks for your service”. The 26-second video showed police battling the heavy wind and rain as it pushed traffic cones away from its set position. Looking at the comments, many netizens expressed their appreciation and prayers to the authorities.

This user said: “Take care all frontliners. Hope you get your big reward. This afternoon the rain and wind was really strong. Our house’s sliding door was difficult to close because the wind was pushing it.”

This user said: “Poor frontliners. Hope their duties are eased.”

We salute PDRM for their efforts during this MCO. It’s far from easy to be in control sometimes, and this video shows exactly how tough it can get. We hope all of them are always safe when they’re on duty. As for us as Malaysians, let’s make their job easier by obeying the SOPs set during the MCO. Together, we can stop the spread of COVID-19.
