If you enjoyed “I’m Thinking of Ending Things”, a novel by Iain Reid and later picked up by Netflix starring Jessie Buckley, you will probably enjoy this one too!
Also experimenting with the themes of love entangled with something sinister, Reid published “Foe” back in 2018. It tells the story of a husband and wife who lives a quiet life on the farm, until a man comes in and offers the husband a chance to live in space for two years, while his wife stays home with his replacement — causing strain and resentment in their marriage.
