Here’s How You Can Get Your Artwork Displayed at The Tokyoiter Exhibition 2024
The Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur (JFKL) has announced an open call for The Tokyoiter Exhibition 2024. This upcoming event invites talented Malaysian artists and creatives to celebrate Tokyo’s vibrant city and its residents’ captivating stories.
For the uninitiated, The Tokyoiter is a collection of faux magazine cover illustrations by illustrators from all over the world. Through imaginary magazine cover tributes, the project pays homage to Tokyo and its unique narratives.
Inspired by The New Yorker’s traditional cover art and creative initiative, The Parisianer, The Tokyoiter is a project that gathers illustration and drawing enthusiasts to showcase featured artists to a wider audience.
JFKL is inviting artists and creatives who are currently based in Malaysia and aged 18 years and above to submit their creative tributes to Tokyo in the format of The Tokyoiter magazine covers.
