I saw dried bloodstains in Zara’s diary, says child witness
A student staying in Zara Qairina Mahathir’s dormitory told the Kota Kinabalu coroner’s court today she had previously seen dried bloodstains in Zara’s diary.
The girl, who is the 17th child witness and 26th overall in the inquest into the Form 1 student’s death, said she saw the bloodstains when Zara allowed her to read the diary, Utusan Malaysia reported.
She said Zara poured out her emotions about one of her schoolmates into the diary.
According to lawyer Rizwandean M Borhan, the witness also said that on July 15, several hours before Zara was found unconscious in a drain at her school’s hostel, she saw her sitting on the floor in front of her wardrobe.
