Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo starred together in the 2004 rom-com 13 Going on 30, in which they play lovers. While honoring Ruffalo, 56, during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on 8th February, Garner revealed the Avengers star tried to quit from being in the film.
“I wonder if he tried to drop out of [other] films like he did out of ours after the first rehearsal of the ‘Thriller’ dance,” Garner continued, “where Mark went from kind of shocked that we actually had to do this, to antsy, to a deathly quiet, to, ‘Bro, this is not for me.'”
Ruffalo credits Garner for their “wonderful chemistry” with keeping him attached to the film.
The movie was directed by Gary Winick, and earned Garner nominations from both the MTV Movie Awards and the Teen Choice Awards.
