Justin Timberlake is telling Britney to cry him a river.
Earlier, Britney has apologised to him for writing about their relationship in her memoir. Timberlake followed that by saying, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise, to absolutely [redacted] nobody,” right before performing “Cry Me a River”, a break up song he wrote about Britney.
Last week, Timberlake released a new single called “Selfish”, making his first solo song release since 2018. Britney’s fanbase responded by skyrocketing her 13-year-old song by the same name up the charts, knocking off Timberlake’s. This was what led to Britney showing her support to Timberlake, and subsequently apologising for his part in her memoir.
