In an era where CGI is readily available, Nosferatu director Robert Eggers has made it clear that the Lily-Rose Depp onscreen is all real. That’s right — physically, and psychically — and it took a ton of effort on the actress’ part to make it happen!
Film moderator Todd Field said Depp takes on an enormous physical challenge by writhing and convulsing in bed, in a scene that is reminiscent of The Exorcist. “It makes me want to go to the chiropractor,” Field said after seeing the movie. Eggers also mentioned that Depp worked with movement artist, Marie-Gabrielle Rotie, a specialist in Japanese dance theater known as butoh. Think the creepy crawl in The Ring!
Now, be sure to catch it in cinemas end of December!
