

A Malay drama recently faced criticism on social media due to its controversial casting choice.
On Monday, 27 December, one X user pointed out that Qistina Raisah, one of the show’s leading actresses, was only 15 years old when she portrayed a character who was sexually assaulted in the television show.
“It’s strange for a 15-year-old to play a character like this. Most Malay dramas are really running out of ideas, is it?” wrote the user, attaching a clip from the show.

In the video that was posted, it can be seen that a much older man tries to persuade Qistina’s character, Rania. However, she declines the offer, explaining that she needs to head home immediately.
Following the rejection, the man offers to prepare a drink for Rania. However, he deceitfully adds drugs to her beverage without her knowledge.
