Malaysia has officially rolled out its brand-new NG MERS 999 (Next Generation Malaysian Emergency Response Services 999) call system, an upgraded way to call for emergency services in situations where literally speaking on the phone just isn’t an option.
It replaces the MERS 999 infrastructure, which has historically been slow or inconsistent when responding to emergencies. But calls with the next generation system will now be faster and smarter, something that’s definitely needed as more and more people are connected.
