Indie rock band drummer Timothy Very has died at 42.
Manchester Orchestra welcomed Timothy Very into the group in 2011, and he went on to contribute to their last four records: Simple Math, Cope, A Black Mile to the Surface, and The Million Masks of God (2021). Although the circumstances surrounding his death have not been made public, the band shared that they are heartbroken by his unexpected passing.
Very was a father who grew up in Pensacola. During his teenage years, he became close friends with bassist Andy Prince. He joined the band more than 15 years ago, and his final show took place in November last year at The Eastern in Atlanta.
The band posted that they are heartbroken by the news.
