Marvel Exec Denies Rumours Regarding Chadwick Boseman Replacement

There is only one T’Challa, and in the foreseeable future, he will belong to only Chadwick Boseman.

Marvel Studios executive Nate Moore denies the rumors that Black Panther 3 will recast the iconic character in the live-action role Chadwick Boseman originated.

In a new interview, the Black Panther producer said,

“The truth is, there’s no truth to those rumors. Never say never to anything, we haven’t really had a lot of creative conversations with Ryan Coogler yet, because he’s finishing his film Sinners, which comes out this year,” Moore told ComicBook. “We’ll get into it later this year, but everything you read online is not true, if for no other reason than we just haven’t started [working on it].”

Boseman made waves with his first outing as T’Challa in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, followed by the largely anticipated Black Panther feature film in 2018. He then reprised the superhero role in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame, before succumbing to colon cancer in August 2020.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was released in 2022 and dedicated to his memory, picking up after the death of T’Challa.
