Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley in Stranger Things, has shared that part of the reason the fifth season of the series is taking so long is because of the runtime of each episode.
“We’re making, basically, eight movies,” Hawke explained on an episode of Penn Badgley’s Podcrushed podcast. “The episodes are very long.”
Hawke, the daughter of Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman, made her screen debut as Jo March in the 2017 BBC adaptation of Little Women, and since then has grown her filmography exponentially.
