A few years ago, we had M3GAN, a film of the same genre about an android doll who is originally meant to keep a newly-orphaned girl company…but eventually turns violent.

And now we have Megan Fox, as yet another android, in the upcoming film Subservience. She is meant to lend a helping hand for a family need, but eventually becomes self-aware and realises her own needs and desires.
