
Informal discussions have been held by MIC and Perikatan Nasional about their political direction, MIC president SA Vigneswaran said today.
He said the party’s leadership is examining the matter seriously after several resolutions on MIC supporting PN and a possible exit from Barisan Nasional were approved by the party’s state leaderships in Kedah, Perak and Penang.
He said the changing political dynamics and landscape called for action to ensure the party does not fall.
“MIC is not hiding anything. This is not something secret,” Harian Metro quoted him as saying.
“The party’s leadership will determine our direction. That said, we are not angry with anyone,” he said after opening the Johor MIC delegates’ convention in Kota Tinggi today.
