Moana 2, which was originally conceived as a television show set for streaming, has now officially hit the billion-dollar box office smash!
This animated follow-up to the first Moana has generated $445 million domestically, and $567 million internationally, bringing a total of $1.009 billion globally after just eight weekends of release. This makes Moana 2 Disney’s third 2024 release to join the billion-dollar club, which includes Inside Out 2 and Deadpool & Wolverine.
