Namewee surrenders to cops as murder probe continues

Controversial singer Wee Meng Chee, better known as Namewee, surrendered himself to the police early this morning, saying he would never flee the law as authorities begin probing a murder case linked to him.

Wee said he had travelled to Kuala Lumpur from Johor after being summoned by the police.

He also vowed to cooperate with the investigation.

“I’m now at the police station and will cooperate with the police’s investigation to the best of my ability, in order to provide answers to the public and the deceased’s family.

“I will not flee. I have shown up to the police station voluntarily on all past seven arrest warrants, and never did I try to escape,” he said in a social media post.
