
A university student stranded in Hatyai, Thailand, due to floods is hoping for immediate aid, especially food supply.
Mimi Nadzirah Afiqah Suhaimi, an accounting student of Universiti Utara Malaysia, said there was no electricity and no water supply at the hotel where she and 35 other students are staying.
She said the group members were depending on their existing food supply, which was limited. Water had entered the ground floor of the hotel, and the surrounding roads were inundated, with even heavy vehicles unable to move.
“Right now, we are staying at Wangburapa Grand Hotel, Hatyai, the current situation, no electricity as it has been cut since early morning, no water supply, it just got cut.
“We have no proper food supply and only have light food that is very, very limited, unstable phone lines, it’s hard to communicate,” she posted on…
