Over RM1,000,000 Went Into Refurbishing & Renovating Offices in PM’s Department

It seems like the cabinet isn’t the only thing that is undergoing renovation and refurbishing since it has been reported that over RM1,000,000 has been spent on sprucing-up offices of ministers and deputy ministers at the PM’s Department.

In a Parliamentary reply, current PM Datuk Seri Ismail Seri Yaakob stated that RM1,073,580 was spent on renovations and replacing old furniture using three contractors.

The renovations were carried out between 2020 and 2021, following the guidelines and regulations for building planning by the standards and costs committee under the Economic Planning Unit (EPU) which is an agency under the PM’s Department.

The issue was first brought up by Hannah Yeoh which prompted the reply by Ismail Sabri.

This is the list of cost allocation for the renovations:
