Penang PAS welcomes Gerakan leader’s proposal to contest using own logo
Penang PAS has backed a proposal by a Gerakan leader for the latter to use its own logo to contest in the state in the next general election.
Calling it a winning strategy, Penang PAS information chief Fawwaz Jan said every party has the right to craft its own election strategies and the Islamic party would respect Gerakan’s stance on how to present itself to voters in Penang and the country.
“Penang PAS welcomes any move that may increase public confidence as long as Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) component parties uphold (mutual) understanding, unity and the direction of our struggle.
“Plus, the use of party logos proved to be an effective ‘weapon’ in several states in the 15th general election,” Fawwaz said in a statement.
