We’re all familiar with having differing political opinions with our relatives, and sparking heated debates on the topic during holidays and family meetups.
Even our latest Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob has his own brother setting up a new party, in the country’s democratic practice.
The UMNO vice president said that it was his elder brother Kamarazaman Yaakob’s right to set up a new party, Parti Kuasa Rakyat.
“It has been happening in Malaysia… this is democracy and that’s his right… there’s no quarrel over it and so on,” says Sabri as he chimes in about his brothers actions.
Kamarazaman launched Parti Kuasa Rakyat on October 10, which will be a multi-racial party.
Reportedly, it focuses on advocating for free education, free healthcare, and free creation of job opportunities, specifically for B40 and M40 communities.
