
Not all concerts of iconic international artistes set to take place on domestic grounds have earned a positive response from Malaysia. Some locals, contrastingly, have opposed some of these shows for their “pointless” and “religiously harmful” nature.
Among those against these events is freelance preacher, Syed Mohd Bakri Syed Ishak, better known as PU Syed. This time, he has objected to the concert of South Korean girlband BLACKPINK, set to take place in Malaysia in March 2023.
“Agents of dajjal (the Deceitful Messiah) are sneakily slipping their way into Muslim countries more and more,” he noted in the caption, alongside a screenshot of a text he received whereby the sender likened allowing BLACKPINK into the nation to welcoming the dajjal.
