
Former Kukusan assemblyman Rina Jainal has resigned from Parti Harapan Rakyat Sabah (PHRS) following her suspension from the party, which she claims was aimed at barring her from defending her seat in the Sabah polls.
The now-former PHRS deputy president said she would continue to vie for the Kukusan seat in the Nov 29 state election, although she did not specify whether she would contest as an independent candidate or under another party.
Rina said she decided to leave PHRS for the sake of her honour and principles, claiming she was sabotaged by certain quarters in the party.
