Hollywood figures and U.S. politicians have shared tributes and voiced their shock following the deaths of renowned director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele, in their Los Angeles residence.
The 78-year-old filmmaker and his 68-year-old wife were found dead at their upscale Los Angeles home on Sunday. Their son, Nick, has been taken into custody.
Reiner is known for directing classic films in a variety of genres, including When Harry Met Sally, This is Spinal Tap, Stand By Me, Misery and A Few Good Men, as well as for championing liberal causes and Democratic politics.
