Sinéad O’Connor, the Irish sensation known for her hit “Nothing Compares 2 U” and her outspoken behaviour, has passed away at age 56.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sinead. Her family and friends are devastated and have requested privacy at this very difficult time,” said a statement from the singer’s family.
No cause of death has been announced as of yet.
