A suspended senior officer linked to Bukit Aman is now under investigation for his alleged involvement in a string of armed robberies in Kepong, with total losses estimated at RM4.4 million.
City police chief Fadil Marsus confirmed that the suspect, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), was previously attached to the Commercial Crime Investigation Department before being suspended on 23 January.
According to Fadil, the officer is believed to have played a key role in running the operation, including planning the robberies and coordinating the group’s movements. He was arrested alongside five others, among them two bodyguards, in connection with a series of break-ins targeting expatriate homes in Kepong.
