New horror film The Ugly Stepsister is directed by Emilie Blichfeldt in her first ever directorial debut, and provides a twisted take on the beloved fairytale Cinderella — but shifts the focus on the stepsister, instead.
Elvira (played by Lea Myren) goes to extreme and gory lengths to fit the mould when it comes to conventional beauty standards, all so that she could appeal to the prince — and satisfy her mother. This includes altering her nose and…chopping parts of her foot to fit the glass slipper?
