PETALING JAYA:

A viral video allegedly showing a Jalur Gemilang hung upside down at a business premises in Bandar Pinggiran Subang, Sungai Buloh, yesterday is from last year, say police.

Sungai Buloh police chief Hafiz Nor said the company’s project manager, a man in his 40s, had lodged a police report at 4.30pm today, Berita Harian reported.

He said the complainant denied the claims made in the video, and police inspection of CCTV footage of the past few days found that the flag had not been hung incorrectly as claimed on social media.

“An investigation also found that the business had not been operational for the past few days.

“According to the employees, the incident occurred in 2024 when the flag was first purchased, and the mistake was corrected after that,” he said.
