PETALING JAYA:

A 25-year-old woman in Johor is under investigation for allegedly filing a false report claiming that she was raped by an e-hailing driver in his vehicle.

Iskandar Puteri police chief M Kumarasan said the false report was filed yesterday morning by the suspect, who claimed that she was raped and forced to commit carnal intercourse against the order of nature with the driver.

She claimed the incident occurred the night before, in the driver’s vehicle around Jalan Pulai Perdana in Kangkar Pulai.

“Investigations found that the complainant filed a false report because she had been scolded by her family members after returning home late at night,” Kumarasan said in a statement.
