Year 4 pupil dies after being found unconscious at Seremban school
A 10-year-old boy has died after he was found unconscious at a school in Senawang in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, at 1pm today.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Alzafny Ahmad said a report was received at about 1.20pm, Harian Metro reported.
“Based on initial information, the boy had left his classroom at 12.10pm. He was later found unconscious within the school grounds.
“The boy was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead,” he was quoted as saying.
Alzafny said police will release more information soon.
Education minister Fadhlina Sidek said the matter has been handed over to the police to ensure a transparent and thorough investigation.
She urged the public not to speculate about the incident and to give the boy’s family space and privacy.
