1. Sherlock Holmes 3

Everyone’s favourite eccentric detective Sherlock Holmes is on its way back to the big screen! Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law’s are set to reprise their role.  And possibilities are the movie could be out on December 22, 2021.

2. Top Gun: Maverick

It’s been more than 30 years since the release of the films first instalment. Paramount Pictures is finally giving fans a sequel! Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer are reprising their roles, along with Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Ed Harris and Glen Powell. So far, the release date is set for December 23, 2020.

3. Pirates of the Caribbean 6

Pirates of the Caribbean.

Johny Depp will no longer be playing the infamous Jack Sparrow. There will be a new pirate queen taking over instead. The film may be out in late 2021.

4. Gladiator 2


The film ranked up the box office when it released in 2000, and won five Academy’s taken them this long to finally come out with a sequel! Sadly, there’s still no official date set yet.

 5. Space Jam 2

The film came out in 1996  and was a huge hit from the movie to franchise. The film is said to be released on July 16, 2021, but there could be a possibility of a delay.

6. Coming 2 America

Coming to America

African Prince Akeem is making his comeback after 30 years, since the movie released. I’m looking forward to seeing Eddie Murphy reprising his role. Coming to America Is scheduled for a release December 18, 2020.

7. 23 Jump Street

The hilarious cop duo are in for another sequel. Hopefully, we’ll see Jenko and Schmidt ride again around 2024- (sooner would be great too!)

8. Legally Blonde 3

After a two decade wait, the pink-witty lawyer, Elle Woods is officially making her return. Originally the film was to air on February 14, 2020, but was later delayed. So fingers crossed that a new date will be announced soon!

9. The Matrix 4

The Matrix

The highly anticipated movie left fans jaw dropped when they announced a sequel in the works. Even better news when main characters Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss revealed their comeback as Neo and Trinity ! Release date May 21, 2021.

10. Black Panther 2

Chadwick Boseman is set to return to the Black Panther sequel! Marvel has stayed mum on the details of the film, with only a release date set to drop on May 8, 2022.

11. A Quiet Place 2

The Quiet Place

After having to push back the film due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown, the film officially announced a new release date which is set for September 4, 2020. Actor and director, John Krasinski, has admitted that the upcoming film won’t be like the traditional sequel- so we’re excited to see what’s in store!

 12. John Wick 4

John Wick

Another Keanu Reeve’s movie is coming, and we’re not complaining! The fourth film was originally planned for a May 21st, 2021 release, but unfortunately been moved to May 27, 2022. Stay patient fellow fans!

13. Bond 25

No Time To Die

Daniel Craig is back as Bond for one last time! The action film is set for release November 20, 2020, Knives Out’s breakout star, Ana de Armas will also be starring in film.
