3 in 4 recovered COVID-19 patients suffer from symptoms 6 months later

Background


The draining symptoms of COVID-19 can last way past the regular course of the disease for many recovered patients.

According to research, 3 out of 4 patients still suffer with at least one symptom 6 months after contracting the virus. The most common symptoms retained are fatigue and muscle weakness.

A study carried out by Jin Yin-tan Hospital in Wuhan found that 63 percent of 1,733 patients stated that they experienced those symptoms months after recovery.
