Is there such thing as Mr / Mrs Right?
Can Mr / Mrs Right happen at the wrong time?
Many believe that when you meet the right person, you will know; that there is no such thing as “the right person at the wrong time”. However, in life, you will end up meeting people who seem perfect for you but as time passes, you realise that this person is more focused on his / her present than his / her future. When this happens, the realisation that they never considered you in their plans will be a hard one to swallow. So how do you know if the person you’re seeing is right for you, now and forever? Find out if your partner is Mr / Mrs Right or simply Mr / Mrs Right Now:
1. He / She knows as much about you as your best friend.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve known each other for a week or a month, Mr / Mrs Right will take the time to remember everything about you – your favourite number, your childhood dreams, your biggest fears. You will have no problem opening up to this person. Mr / Mrs Right Now will know you on the surface but won’t be able to describe you to his / her friends. Mr / Mrs Right knows what the first CD you bought was, whose poster you had behind your bed while you were growing up and what song makes you cry every time. Mr / Mrs Right Now won’t even know your favourite genre and instead assumes your fave grooves. The same goes for you – you’ll want to know everything about Mr / Mrs Right but there’s no rush; you know you have more than just right now to get to know this person.
2. Everyone they know knows you.
A telltale sign that your partner is serious about you is that he / she introduces you (or at least talks about you) to everyone in their social circle. Heck, why stop there – Mr / Mrs Right will brag about you to his / her family and friends. They’ll probably start following you on social media and talking to them, they’d probably know more about you than you’d expect. However, if you were to run into someone Mr / Mrs Right Now knows, the person probably wouldn’t even know you existed.
3. He / She is not afraid to talk about the future.
As often as you hear this, Mr / Mrs Right will have no qualms talking about the future. Be it simply making you priority when making plans or shaping his / her future around yours, the right person for your future will want to be in your future. A lot of the time, when mentioning career progression or kids, Mr / Mrs Right Now will brush off your opinions and your wants – heck, he / she will have no problem packing up and moving away without consulting you. Mr / Mrs Right will have no problem agreeing to have kids (or not have kids, whichever your preference is) and as such, his plans and goals will include you and your opinions.
