Pejuang may contest only three state seats at the upcoming Sabah elections, including Pantai Manis and Kawang, says party president Mukhriz Mahathir.

He said Pejuang does not harbour grand ambitions of contesting many seats and forming the government, or even its elected representative becoming the chief minister, The Borneo Post reported.

“Instead, we believe it is more appropriate for us to form an electoral pact with larger coalitions. And as many may already know, we have been speaking to Perikatan Nasional,” he was quoted as saying.

He stated that the party’s participation will depend on the outcome of ongoing discussions with PN, but said Pejuang was keen on contesting in Pantai Manis and Kawang.

Other seats, including Tamparuli, are also being considered.
