According to ACP Low, the lorry driver, aged 52, has since been detained under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, which covers causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

He stated that the lorry driver had stopped his vehicle after he realised that he had run over something.

“Upon realising that he had run over something, the lorry driver stopped the vehicle about 15 metres from where the victim was lying down,” ACP Low was quoted as saying by the national news…
