As social distancing and self-isolation becomes a reality for many of us around the world, in the face of a global outbreak, people are looking for ways to entertain themselves at home while staying safe and positive.
With sooo many concerts and events being cancelled over the Coronavirus (covid-19) pandemic, some famous musicians have come up with creative ways to still connect with fans. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, recently started a trend, when he live-streamed a mini concert from his home on 16 March. Thanks to him, other artists have jumped on the wagon and started scheduling their own mini shows.

Chris Martin’s band members may not have been around, but that didn’t stop the star from playing an intimate concert for fans on his Instagram Live. The 43 year-old singer was even open to taking requests from his audiences watching. He even played old hits like “Green Eyes,” which fans haven’t heard in a long time.

Inspired by Chris Martins performance on the social media platform, the “All of Me” singer also decided to give his fans a mini performance. “My friend Chris Martin did a lovely little concert from home today. I’ll be doing one tomorrow ( 17 March), at 1pm Pacific time. See you soon. We’ll try to get through this together! #TogetherAtHome,” he tweeted.

Also following the trend, Katharine McPhee and husband David Foster also took to Insta to give their own contribution to music lovers. On 16 March the former American idol tweeted “I’m gonna start covering songs live on Insta, kind of like Kelly Clarkson without the tv show or budget. If you ever wanted me to sing your fav song-now’s your chance. Send me some suggestions.”
The couple plan to do live performances every evening at 5:30 p.m. (U.S. PT.)
