The Ellen DeGeneres’ show resident DJ Stephen “tWitch” Boss has been promoted to co-executive producer at the daytime talk show!
The news comes after three of Ellen’s top executives Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman, Jonathan Norman were fired for accusations of sexual misconduct, racial insensitivity, and other problems in the work environment.
DeGeneres announced the news with a highly emotional address to her “Ellen Show” staff on Monday, where the star confronted months of reports involving toxic environment and racism in the work place.
The 62-year-old expressed she wants to “come back strong” in the forthcoming 18th season with a renewed commitment to diversity. According to the host herself, Boss had already been helpful in that measure.
