Ex-Miss Universe Singapore contestant jailed 6 weeks for credit card fraud
Miss Universe Singapore 2017 contestant, Ashley Rita Wong was recently sentenced 6 weeks in jail for using her friend’s bank card details to make unauthorized transactions.
She memorized two of her friends’ debit card details and used them to spend over US$1,511 (SGD 2,000) on online shopping.
The 27-year-old pleaded guilty to four charges under Singapore’s Computer Misuse and Cybersecurity Act with another 27 charges taken into consideration.
