Despite the immense controversies that she had to deal with before, actress Alya Iman who is also the daughter of the late actor Azmil Mustapha, is still calm continuing her normal life as usual.
Often uploading photos on Instagram with captions written in English language, Alya admitted that she and her family would rather communicate in English due to her severeness in Malay language. In fact she said even her late father prefers to speak in English.

‘’First and foremost, Alya admitted that I am very severe in communicating in Malay. The reason was, because I used to live in Syria, and in Syria their second language is French.’’ said the 19-years-old actress. ‘’Even after returning from Syria, I still went to an International school, so, as you guys can see, most of my friends are foreigners.’’
Realizing that she has to deal with so many haters out there—ever since her ‘’gold digger’’ controversy—Alya is much aware that she has to move on with her life, and she feels like now is the time for her to be her authentic self.
