Since her first appearance on Saturday Night Life back in 2008, Adele is now returning as a guest host on the famed American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show. Announcing the gig on her Instagram in a post, the 32-year-old British powerhouse shared,
“I’m so excited about this!! And also absolutely terrified! My first ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!!”

And of course, Adele’s return to the stage (even if it’s not one that she’s singing on) has fans buzzing – does this mean that she’s dropping her fourth album sometime soon? A report by Showbiz411 – the same source that announced the release of Adele’s last album, “25” – states that ” all signs point to a new album on Friday, October 30th”.

Could this just be wishful thinking on our parts; after all, it has been a whole five years since her last album. Despite reports that the ‘Rolling In The Deep’ singer has been working on her fourth studio album since mid-2018, her plans to release this allusive album in September this year were put on hold (like many) as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the meantime, the 15-time Grammy award winner has been focusing on herself, sharing bits and pieces of her weight loss journey and birthday dedications to her friends through her social media.

As she’s said in an Instagram post, Adele is making 2020 the year she prioritises herself,
“I’ve changed drastically in the last couple years and I’m still changing and that’s okay. 31 is going to be a big ol’ year and I’m going to spend it all on myself. For the first time in a decade I’m ready to feel the world around me and look up for once. Be kind to yourself people we’re only human, go slow, put your phone down and laugh out loud at every opportunity. Learning to REALLY truly love yourself is it, and I’ve only just realized that that is more than enough.”
