Marvel is always cooking something up!
American actor Anthony Mackie recently revised his statement on how long he’s actually planning to stick around as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Captain America.
He always seemed skeptical when he said he could still be doing it at the age of 65, but his latest vision of a six to eight-year timeline sounds just about right, with the latter duration possibly taking him up to 50 years old.

Mackie is no stranger to the MCU. In fact, it would be fair to say that he’s embedded himself within the family with six feature film appearances and a six-episode stretch as one of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’s two leads.
His future shows no signs of dimming as we all know that a solo Captain America movie is in the works, but reports from the inside are now saying that he’s set to appear in five more blockbusters in total.
This is crazy to say the least, as Mackie only found out about Captain America 4 from a grocery store checkout guy.
“I literally found out yesterday in a grocery store. The checkout guy named Dwayne, a cool cat, he’s like, ‘Yo, man. Is this real?!’. I’m like, ‘I haven’t heard anything’. That’s what I love about working for Marvel. They call you, they’re like, ‘Come to L.A. We wanna tell you what’s going on’. So, I’m excited to see what happens, but I haven’t heard anything.”
It’s unclear if Mackie is confirmed to sign for five more films, or if he’ll have to renegotiate his contract once again to keep suiting up and flying all around the shared mythology as its latest star-spangled symbol of patriotism.
