The dynamic sisterly duo known as Chloe x Halle were signed by Queen Bey herself five years ago. And ever since then, it has been a whirlwind of sparkling music videos, award shows, and fashion campaigns for the two talented beauties.

And while the sisters have great things on the horizon, they certainly haven’t forgotten any of Beyoncé’s important life lessons, as Halle recently explained in an interview with Bustle. When asked what the best advice Queen Bey has ever given them, Halle remarked that pretty much anyone can learn a thing or two (or, let’s be real, a hundred) from the “Brown Skin Girl” singer. “Everybody can learn from her just by watching her and what she stands for,” Halle explained. “But being able to be a little bit close to her, I’m really learning her grace.”

She went on to say that Beyoncé’s grace stems from the fact that the singer-songwriter embraces so much love and positivity — and encourages others to do the same. “She’s taught us that we can be anything we want to be as young Black women,” Halle added. “We don’t have to be restricted to just one thing.”

The sisters also touched on their Ungodly Hour album, which was released in June of this year. “Music is really therapeutic for us,” Chloe told Bustle. “My sister and I have those times where we’re talking to each other and the song kind of presents itself then and there.”
Halle added that their recent album contained the types of secrets they’d usually put in their diaries, making it a little intimidating to share with the public. “We all came up with this sentence: ‘Love me at the ungodly hour,’ which means love me when I’m at my worst; love me when I’m not all dolled up and made up,” Chloe said back in June. “Love me when all my insecurities are out on the table.” Okay but just imagine having Queen Bey as you close and trusted mentor….
