Oh Christopher…

Christopher Maurice Brown aka Chris Brown recently took to his Instastories to shut down demand for a new album. The 32-year-old singer, rapper, songwriter, dancer, and actor wrote:

“I ain’t dropping no album until I’m ready.. I need to give ya’ll a change to miss me.”

Now, while C. Sizzle’s last album was released in 2019, Indigo, it seems like a lot of fans aren’t actually finna rush him. The reactions to his Instastory are sending me. For the most part, everyone is still hung up on two of his latest works, Indigo and 2017’s Heartbreak on a Full Moon. Despite the albums being out for as long as four years, people are admitting that they still haven’t listened to the albums in their entirety. After all, Heartbreak has 45 tracks and Indigo (the extended version) sports 42.

There’s also this gem of a comment, responding to Breezy’s claim that he’s “giving everyone a chance to miss [him].”

Tbf… where is the lie? In 2020, Brown released Slime & B – a collaborative mix tape with Young Thug. In 2020 and 2021, he’s featured in 11 different tracks, not limited to: “Out of Your Mind” by French Montana and Swae Lee, “Provide” by G-Eazy  alongside Mark Morrison), and most recently “Come Through” with H.E.R..

Many even compared him to Rihanna, who hasn’t released an album since 2016 – who addressed years of album requests with one line. But, the comments couldn’t have been shadier, with some saying:

However, jokes aside, new music from Chris Brown would be amazing. He is a G.O.A.T., after all. He is one of the world’s best-selling music artists, with a Grammy Award, 15 BET Awards, four Billboard Music Awards, and six Soul Train Music Awards under his belt. Indigo was his third Billboard 200 number-one album – so whatever he releases next is bound to be dope! So yeah, take your time Chris, we know you’ll put out something amazing!
