The usually outspoken has taken time to herself following the devastating loss of their third child. Instead, 41-year old Legend has reached out to the world in her stead, sharing a sweet tribute to his wife of seven years now. In a series of tweets, Legend tweeted:

“I’m in awe of the strength you’ve shown through the most challenging moments. What an awesome gift it is to be able to bring life into the world. We’ve experienced the miracle, the power and joy of this gift, and now we’ve deeply felt its inherent fragility.”

The ‘All of Me’ singer reiterated the promise that the couple made to each other on their wedding day, sharing that they’d “never break” as their love would remain despite all the ups and downs they have been faced with. He also took the opportunity to thank everyone who has sent them love and support.

After days in the hospital bleeding and fearing the worst, Teigen and Legend, revealed on October 1 that she had suffered a miscarriage. This was Chrissy’s third pregnancy, a welcome surprise after believing that she couldn’t get pregnant naturally.  Both of the children that Teigen and Legend share, Luna and Miles, were conceived through IVF treatments. The couple announced they were expecting a third child in Legend’s music video for the song “Wild” but multiple complications (through no fault of her own) throughout her pregnancy ultimately led to the loss of the little boy they had lovingly named Jack.

Following their loss, Teigen took a break from social media while Legend went on to perform a hauntingly beautiful new song titled ‘Never Break’ that he’d written for Teigen at the recent Billboard Music Awards 2020 that took place in Los Angeles. In the powerful performance dedicated to his wife, he sang:

We will never break
As the water rises
And the mountains shake
Our love will remain

Our hearts to out to Teigen, Legend and everyone else who is going through loss.
